About Me
Amanda Uhlianuk
About me…
I’ve held positions in both commercial and residential interior design firms for over 10 years. A graduate from The College For Creative Studies with a BFA in Interior Design. I have worked for firms such as Gensler where I was part of their workplace practice and professional services team. During my time at Gensler I worked on large projects with DTE Energy, GM, local creative agencies and AT&T. While at Gensler I was part of the lead interior design team for the new Gensler Detroit Office which won an AIA award. After leaving Gensler, I worked at JPRA Architects where I focused on retail design, working on large scale shopping districts and retailers throughout Canada and the US. Ultimately, I knew I always wanted to have my own interior design practice and made the switch to opening up my own design studio. Currently the majority of work for the studio has been luxury residential and boutique commercial interiors within the Metro Detroit and Chicago areas. Amanda has also taught part-time at her alma amater (CCS), where she worked with Freshman and Senior students in the Interior Design Studio. I’ve always held a firm belief that art and design go hand in hand. Spaces should be inspiring, transformative, and always functional.
